MAGGIE: I’m meeting a few friends this afternoon, we’re gonna go hear some music.
RAE: Five world-famous banjo champions are going to come and play. It’s going to be very exciting.
LINDA: There is one banjo player who has really, really long, luscious hair that’s so shiny and conditioned and he’s the one that I want to see.
MAGGIE: The banjo reminds me of my uncle Joe, he played, but didn’t have the hair.
RAE: Plus, you know if they play banjo, they have very skilled fingers.
LINDA: We get to the parking lot and it’s packed, so we decide not to park and walk instead.
MAGGIE: I have a backpack we can throw stuff in, and ask the bigger guy if he’ll carry it.
RAE: He says, “Fine!” and picks up my backpack and carries it all the way to the venue.
LINDA: At the venue, right in front of the gates, we see one of the banjo players.
MAGGIE: And the weirdest thing is he knows one of my girlfriends. As a matter of fact, I think they had something back in the day. We get backstage passes.
RAE: Then we get to eat pizza with the band.
Linda: It is awesome and I post a bunch of pictures on Instagram to make my other friends jealous.
MAGGIE: Luckily, there’s one picture of me with my eyes open and my mouth closed.
RAE: And the banjo player who I was most excited to see gives me his phone number.
